Genetic variation among 481 diverse soybean accessions, inferred from genomic re-sequencing

Abstract We report characteristics of soybean genetic diversity and structure from the resequencing 481 diverse accessions, comprising 52 wild ( Glycine soja ) selections 429 cultivated max varieties (landraces elites). This data was used to identify 7.8 million SNPs, predict SNP effects relative genic regions, structure, relationships, linkage disequilibrium. found evidence distinct, mostly independent selection lineages by particular geographic location. Among varieties, we identified numerous highly conserved suggesting during domestication. Comparisons these accessions against whole U.S. germplasm genotyped with SoySNP50K iSelect BeadChip revealed that over 95% re-sequenced have a high similarity their counterparts. Probable errors in seed source or genotype tracking were also approximately 5% accessions.
